REFOCUS
What does it mean to truly fix our eyes on Jesus in a world that is constantly competing for our attention? This message takes us deep into the heart of that question, drawing from Hebrews 12:1-2 and Matthew 6 to show us that focus is never neutral. Whatever we give our attention to is actively shaping us, forming our desires, directing our steps, and ultimately determining the course of our lives. Just as Peter walked on water while his eyes were on Jesus but began to sink the moment he shifted his gaze to the storm, we discover that the difference between faith and fear is often simply a matter of focus. The message draws a powerful distinction between vision and focus: vision shows us everything that is out there, but focus is the deliberate choice we make about what deserves our attention. We cannot control everything we see, but we can choose what we dwell on. When we magnify our problems, fear grows. When we magnify God, faith grows. The same giant that paralyzed an entire army became conquerable the moment David chose to see God as bigger than the obstacle in front of him. That same shift in perspective is available to each of us today.
