Love My Church
What does it truly mean to love the church? This powerful message invites us to move beyond casual attendance and discover the transformative power of being planted in God's house. Drawing from Psalm 92, we're reminded that those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. The distinction is crucial: we can attend church without being planted, but we cannot flourish without roots. Being planted means we're not randomly scattered but intentionally placed by God for a purpose. Like a tree transplanted near a water source, we thrive when we're positioned where God intends us to be. The message challenges us to examine whether we're truly rooted in community or simply visiting on Sundays. When we're planted, we stop asking 'Should I stay?' and start asking 'How can I grow? How can I contribute?' The call is clear: God doesn't want us to merely survive in His house—He wants us to flourish. This happens through devotion to teaching, fellowship, breaking bread, and prayer, just as the early church modeled in Acts 2:42. When we choose to be planted rather than portable, we discover our gifts, build deep roots that sustain us through drought, and become part of something far bigger than ourselves.
